Enter your name and email and I’ll send you a series of marketing strategies starting with the Top 5 Marketing Strategies Synagogues Need To Get Right in 2023.
You have a congregation and you are very concerned that your congregants are not responding to the messaging you are sending out.
Attendance and awareness has been a challenge over the last three years, and perhaps even prior to that.
You may have a concern that you are not even sure what your synagogue brand is anymore. Is it your messaging? Is it your need to rebrand the congregation?
Perhaps it is the fact that your website needs major updating and your congregants are not seeing any activity on social media? Your shul marketing needs to be about your congregants wanting to connect with you. Things have changed because of everyone’s personal experience with Covid. Everyone is on their own personal journey and they need to feel that you are speaking with them directly.
You must touch an emotional chord with your target audience, even those that have been members for decades, and bring it to life every day so they, and other community members, can trust in that experience and feel good about why they choose to attend services or scheduled events.
But that can be very hard to accomplish with the current marketing strategy because you need to evolve with how you are reaching your congregants. Marketing like it is 2015, 2019 or even 2022 may not be reaching members in the way they wish to be reached.
As much as a shul is a sacred space it is also a business and it needs to be marketed similar to other businesses. Effective marketing and effective programming both begin with the same step: understanding your audience. Who are you trying to reach? Why are you trying to reach them? And, what are you offering?
And that is where I can help…….
As a synagogue leader, you have a vital role in spreading the message of your shul and building a strong community. But with so many demands on your time, it can be difficult to keep up with the latest marketing trends and reach new members. That’s where Shul Marketing agency comes in.

Hi!
I’m Howard Wolpoff and I was a shul kid.
My parents were very involved in our synagogue. My father served as congregation President and Men’s Club President and my mother served as Sisterhood President.
As a teenager I served as both the shul’s Gabbai, led Junior Congregation and held many USY and Kadima board positions.
As an adult, I have served as the Gabbai at my shul in Jacksonville, Florida for the past five years and have held three separate terms in multiple Vice President positions on the synagogue’s board.
I have also chaired their marketing committee for many years, implementing many successful strategies for this 120+ year old congregation to reach their membership and the local Jewish Community.
I have always looked at business through both a professional and religious lens and continue to do so through Shul Marketing.
Additionally, I have served as the Chief Marketing Solutionist at Profit Master Business Solutions and have been a marketing executive with over 25 years of experience helping hundreds of businesses create profitable solutions to drive sales, attract and maintain customers, and build a solid corporate brand. Small business owners have hired me to rebuild their business confidence and competence to exceed expectations because most have a business in a state of chaos, are lacking guidance and are frequently overwhelmed. So I have helped redirect energies, create accountability and accelerate performance, actually doubling their revenues….and in the process, making them love their business again.
Previously, I have served as the Director of Best Media in Houston, Texas and the Vice President of Client Integration at Client Focused Media in Jacksonville, Florida. I also worked in Minor League Baseball, helping launch the Brooklyn Cyclones in 2001.
I am also the host of two podcasts, 30 Days of Marketing Mavens and Small Business Marketing – Then & Now and served as a host and producer on Buzz TV and Marketing Champions on DailyAdBrief.com.
